Statesman Ties Botswana Skinny Tie was designed to represent the Botswana Flag.
The national flag of Botswana, adopted on September 30, 1966, features a light blue field divided horizontally by a black stripe with a thin white frame. The blue represents water and rain—precious resources in the arid Kalahari Desert—while the black and white stripes symbolize racial harmony, equality, and the national animal, the zebra.
