Statesman Tie’s Nevada Skinny Tie was designed to represent Nevada State Flag. The design takes elements from the Nevada flag to create a tie that can be worn at any time for any occasion.

“The flag of the U.S. state of Nevada consists of a cobalt blue field with a variant of the state’s emblem in the upper left hand corner. The emblem contains a silver star (a reference to the state’s nickname, The Silver State), below which appears the state’s name. Above the star is a golden-yellow scroll with the words “Battle Born”, one of the state’s mottos (in reference to Nevada becoming a state during the American Civil War). Below the star and state name are two sprays of green sagebrush (the state flower) with yellow flowers.” (Source: here)

The Nevada Skinny Tie was designed to use the unique emblem from the flag and incorporate the colors of the flag as well. As yellow is used quite a bit in the emblem, we doubled the number of yellow stripes in our tie. The cobalt blue makes the tie standout from a sea of navy blues and sky blues. Simple and classy; that’s what we were going for and we think that’s what we got.
