Statesman Ties Samoa (American Samoa) Skinny Tie was designed to represent the flag of Samoa and American Samoa. The design takes elements from both of the flags of Samoa and mixes them together to create a tie that can be worn at any time for any occasion.

We decided to use elements from both the American Samoa and Western Samoa flags and make one, unified tie. We used three other elements as the symbol for the tie: the Tanoa (or ‘ava bowl or kava bowl) is a national symbol and used by talking chiefs to indicate their rank. The fly switch (fue) represents wisdom. And lastly, the staff (To’oto’o) represents authority.
