Iowa Tie

Description

Statesman Tie’s Iowa Tie was designed to represent the flag of Iowa. For this tie, we used red as the base color to make the tie design more pronounced and contrast with the blue and white in a classy way. The symbol of the bald eagle and ribbon were taken from the flag and placed in the corner of the tie to give it an unmistakable design element. We think we created a classy tie that can be worn at any time for any occasion.

Regarding the flag specifically: “The flag of the state of Iowa is a vertical tricolor of blue, white, and red, reflecting the U.S. state of Iowa’s history as part of the French Louisiana Territory…The image of a bald eagle with a long ribbon reading “Our liberties we prize and our rights we will maintain”, derived from the Seal of Iowa, is centered in the middle white stripe.
