Cambodia Tie

Our Cambodia Tie is modeled after the flag of CambodiaStatesman Tie’s Cambodia Tie was designed to represent the flag of Cambodia.

Statesman Tie’s Cambodia Tie was designed to represent the flag of Cambodia. The design takes elements from the Cambodia flag and mixes them together with the easily recognizable shape of the state to create a tie that can be worn at any time for any occasion.

We were excited to be able to use the full picture of Angkor Wat on the tie. Sometimes logos for ties can get really intricate and we have to simplify the design. In the case of the Cambodia Tie, we were able to keep the original symbol the same; just a smaller size. The symbol of Angkor Wat is placed on the exact same backdrop as the flag itself: blue, red and blue stripes, tilted at an angle with a simple white line to divide each set of colors. Something that uses all of the elements of the flag and creates a classic tie.

Regarding the flag specifically: “Since around 1850, the Cambodian flag has featured a depiction of Angkor Wat in the center. The current flag, with a blue border and red central (the stripes are in the ratio 1:2:1) was adopted following Cambodia’s independence in 1948.

The current Cambodian flag, together with the flag of Afghanistan, the flag of Spain, and the flag of Portugal, are the only four state flags to feature a building. Red and blue are traditional colours of Cambodia.” (Source, here. )
