Statesman Tie’s Peru tie was designed to represent the flag of Peru. This is a tie that can be worn for many different occasions.
“The flag of Peru was adopted by the government of Peru in 1824. It is a vertical triband with red outer bands and a single white middle band. The Peruvian coat of arms includes the vicuña (a relative of the llama and alpaca), the quina (cinchona) tree, and a cornucopia of gold. Red represents the blood that was spilled for the fight for independence, and white represents peace and bravery.” (Source: here)
The Peru tie can be deceiving. With the white and the red together, it may not seem like it would go well with a white shirt, but it actually does go well. We wanted to stay true to the flag, so we made have a thick white stripe sandwiched between to red stripes. Then, there is a very small white line to separate each repeating flag; one on top of the other. We hope you like it.
The Peru tie is a great gift for missionaries, businessmen, and anyone who loves Peru. You can even add a personalized embroidered message on the back on the tie that the wearer will be sure to love!
