Statesman Tie’s Namibia Skinny Tie was designed to represent the flag of Namibia. For this tie, we used all of the colors of the flag; we made the blue the primary stripe and then added in smaller red, white and green stripes to accent the blue. Then, we placed the golden sun from the flag into the corner of the tie. We think we created a classy tie that can be worn at any time for any occasion.

Regarding the flag specifically:

Red – represents Namibia’s most important resource, its people. It refers to their heroism and their determination to build a future of equal opportunity for all.

White – refers to peace and unity.

Green – symbolizes vegetation and agricultural resources.

Blue – represents the clear Namibian sky and the Atlantic Ocean, the country’s precious water resources and rain.

Golden-yellow sun – life and energy.

(Source, here. )

The Namibia Skinny Tie is a great gift for missionaries, businessmen, and anyone who loves Namibia.

Our high quality Namibia Skinny Tie is made with 100% woven silk and measures 61″ long x 2.5″ wide.

Customize your tie by adding an embroidered, personalized message to the back, making it totally unique!

We attach each tag onto every tie.

Represent Namibia with pride by showing everyone where you’re from, where you’ve been or where you’re going.

Statesman Tie’s South Africa Tie was designed to represent the flag of South Africa. This is a tie that can be worn for many different occasions.

“The flag of South Africa was adopted on 27 April 1994, at the beginning of South Africa’s 1994 general election, to replace the flag that had been used since 1928. The new national flag was chosen to represent the country’s new democracy after the end of apartheid.

At the time of its adoption, the South African flag was the only national flag in the world to comprise six colours in its primary design. Three of the colours – black, green and yellow – are found in the banners of the African National Congress, the Pan Africanist Congress and the Inkatha Freedom Party – and are thus said to represent the country’s black population. The other three – red, white and blue – are displayed on the Dutch tricolour and the British Union flag and are said represent the country’s white population. The green pall (the Y-shape) is commonly interpreted to mean the unification of the various ethnic groups and the moving forward into a new united South Africa. The design therefore represents a converging of paths, the merging of both the past and the present.” (Source: here)

For the South Africa Tie, trying to implement all of the colors of the flag as well as the triangle portion of the flag into the tie was a daunting task. We had to extend top and bottom lengths of the triangle to keep the continuity of the lines along the middle part of the tie. Setting the shape of the flag at the correct angle was tricky as well, but once we figured that out, the tie angles ended up looking really good. We decided to use the green stripes throughout the rest of the tie because that was the dominant color running through the middle of the tie. As well, green seems to be a common color in many different flags of Africa. We hope you like it.

The South Africa Tie is a great gift for missionaries, businessmen, and anyone who loves South Africa. You can even add a personalized embroidered message on the back on the tie that the wearer will be sure to love!
