Statesman Ties Scotland Skinny Tie was designed to represent the flag of Scotland. For this tie, we used the sky blue from the flag and made a white striped tartan pattern on top of the blue. Then, we added in the floral emblem of Scotland: the thistle. We think we created a classy tie that can be worn at any time for any occasion.

Regarding the flag specifically: The flag of Scotland (…Also known as St Andrew’s Cross or the Saltire) consists of a white saltire defacing a blue field. The Saltire, rather than the Royal Standard of Scotland, is the correct flag for all private individuals and corporate bodies to fly. The heraldic term for an X-shaped cross is a ‘saltire’, from the old French word saultoir or salteur (itself derived from the Latin saltatorium), a word for both a type of stile constructed from two cross pieces and a type of cross-shaped stirrup-cord. (Source, here. )

The Scotland Skinny Tie is a great gift for missionaries, businessmen, and anyone who loves Scotland.

Our high quality Scotland Skinny Tie is made with 100% woven silk and measures 61″ long x 2.5″ wide.

Customize your tie by adding an embroidered, personalized message to the back, making it totally unique!

We attach each tag onto every tie.

Represent Scotland with pride by showing everyone where you’re from, where you’ve been or where you’re going.
