Statesman Tie’s Sierra Leone Skinny Tie was designed to represent the flag of Sierra Leone. We used the three colors of the flag as our basis and then decided that the blue was a really nice color to highlight. So, we made that the dominant color stripe in the tie and then used the green and white as accent colors. Then, we used the Presidential Coat of Arms as the differentiating logo for the corner of the tie to really signify that this is truly a tie that represents Sierra Leone. We think we created a classy tie that can be worn at any time for any occasion.

Regarding the flag specifically: “The national flag of Sierra Leone is a tricolour consisting of three horizontal green, white and blue bands. It was adopted in 1961, Sierra Leone’s independence year, to replace the British Blue Ensign defaced with the arms of the Crown Colony of Sierra Leone.” (Source, here. )
