]]> Statesman Tie’s Alabama Skinny Tie was designed to represent the flag of Alabama. The design takes elements from the Alabama flag and mixes them together with the easily recognizable shape of the state to create a tie that can be worn at any time for any occasion.

We decided to use the white cross of St. Andrew as seen on the flag itself against a crimson background with white diagonal stripes. Something simple and classy; just like the Alabama flag.

Regarding the flag specifically: “The cross of St. Andrew referred to in the law is a diagonal cross, known in vexillology as a saltire. Because the bars must be at least six inches (150 mm) wide, small representations of the Alabama flag do not meet the legal definition.” (Source, here)

Regarding the flag specifically: “The canton of the flag of Hawaii contains the Union Flag of the United Kingdom, prominent over the top quarter closest to the flag mast. The field of the flag is composed of eight horizontal stripes, symbolizing the eight major islands (Hawaiʻi, Maui, Kahoʻolawe, Lānaʻi, Molokaʻi, Oʻahu, Kauaʻi, and Niʻihau). (Source, here.)
