Statesman Tie’s Washington DC Skinny Tie was designed to represent the flag of Washington D.C. The D.C flag consists of the three red stars above two red bars. “It is an armorial banner based on the design of the coat of arms of George Washington, first used to identify the family in the 12th century, when one of George Washington’s ancestors took possession of Washington Old Hall, County Durham, northeast England. As elements in heraldry, the stars are properly called mullets.” (Source, here.) We incorporated the three stars into the logo along with the iconic United States Capitol building. Red and white were natural color choices to use the same color elements as the flag.

Statesman Tie’s Cambodia Skinny Tie was designed to represent the flag of Cambodia. The design takes elements from the Cambodia flag and mixes them together with the easily recognizable shape of the state to create a tie that can be worn at any time for any occasion.

We were excited to be able to use the full picture of Angkor Wat on the tie. Sometimes logos for ties can get really intricate and we have to simplify the design. In the case of the Cambodia Tie, we were able to keep the original symbol the same; just a smaller size. The symbol of Angkor Wat is placed on the exact same backdrop as the flag itself: blue, red and blue stripes, tilted at an angle with a simple white line to divide each set of colors. Something that uses all of the elements of the flag and creates a classic tie.

Regarding the flag specifically: “Since around 1850, the Cambodian flag has featured a depiction of Angkor Wat in the center. The current flag, with a blue border and red central (the stripes are in the ratio 1:2:1) was adopted following Cambodia’s independence in 1948.

The current Cambodian flag, together with the flag of Afghanistan, the flag of Spain, and the flag of Portugal, are the only four state flags to feature a building. Red and blue are traditional colours of Cambodia.” (Source, here. )

The Cambodia Skinny Tie is a great gift for missionaries, businessmen, and anyone who loves Cambodia.

Our high quality Cambodia Skinny Tie is made with 100% woven silk and measures 61″ long x 2.5″ wide.

Customize your tie by adding an embroidered, personalized message to the back, making it totally unique!

We attach each tag onto every tie.

Represent Cambodia with pride by showing everyone where you’re from, where you’ve been or where you’re going.
