Statesman Ties Costa Rica Skinny Tie was designed to represent the Costa Rican Flag. The design takes elements from the Costa Rican flag and mixes them together to create a tie that can be worn at any time for any occasion.

“The blue, white and red horizontal design [of the flag] was created in 1848 by Pacífica Fernández, wife of then president José María Castro Madriz. Fernández was inspired by France’s 1848 Revolution, and the creation of the French Second Republic. The new design to the Costa Rican flag adopted the colors of the French tricolor.

The blue color stands for the sky, opportunities, idealism, and perseverance. The white color stands for peace, wisdom and happiness. The red color stands for the blood spilt by martyrs in defense of the country, as well as the warmth and generosity of the people” (Source, here.)

We decided to use navy blue as the dominate color and which allows the coat of arms in the corner to be nicely highlighted. The stripes of the flag were shrunk and made to be the stripes in the tie. Something simple and classy.

The Costa Rica tie is a great gift for missionaries, businessmen, and anyone who loves Costa Rica.

Our high quality Costa Rica tie is made with 100% woven silk and measures 61″ long x 2.5 ” wide.

Customize your tie by adding an embroidered, personalized message to the back, making it totally unique!

We attach each tag onto every tie.

Represent Costa Rica with pride by showing everyone where you’re from, where you’ve been or where you’re going.
